Watchung School's Broadcast Set
Watchung School’s technology/science magnet theme received a tremendous boost with the dramatic transformation of our school’s broadcast studio. A custom-built and designed television set was installed in the “Wake Up Watchung” Broadcast Studio.
Watchung School is unique within the Montclair School District since this school has the advanced infrastructure, high-end equipment, and widespread capability to broadcast live programs from an in-house studio to every classroom in the building. Now, Watchung students have the opportunity to experience the production of a broadcast in an environment that is equipped with the same professional equipment used to produce many television shows.
Watchung's broadcast studio is the product of a collective parent-teacher effort.
During the school year, all Watchung students participate on the daily live broadcast as an anchor, the weather person, a flag salute leader, or a news reporter. It’s a unique experience that our students thoroughly enjoy!
